This grouping features an A-2 jacket that "Has been professionally Restored" They put on a too dark of a color brown knits, and relined it with some crappy tan material. Oh yeah, that dirty old label was probably thown out as well 'cause who would want that resewn on that pretty new liner? I wonder why there are no bids? Hmmmm.....

The knits look like the big coarse type found on cheaper mall jackets.

Also the service jacket is called an Ike jacket but it is fact a length coat...

The knits and liner are wrong but the leather and the patch look nice enough.

I don't know. With that sort of "restoration" I would be worried about what was used on the leather. It looks like it was conditioned with something.

Yes, the restoration work isn't the best, but I also think the leather and patch appear to be nice on this one. I know vets that had things restored on jackets, and they didn't care if the knits/ and or liner didn't match what was there before.

The patina of the leather on this Aero is the nicest thing about the jacket, but vets or their family had wartime A2s restored locally to make them wearable. Of course the correct lining and knits could be installed professionally.
