I always wondered if crew ever did this -- I tried it many years ago with my old Avirex B-3 and A-2... just too cumbersome. Maybe with an up-sized B-3?

When you're cold you will do anything to get an edge... I am sure it was common. Lots of C-2/A-2 combos in period pics.

There are a number of A-2/B-3 combos in the threads....
