Yes siree Steve thats a mother load of buckles $$$$$$$$ ,would need to keep that lot in a safety deposit box for sure .They sure look as fine as frogs hair in the picture .I just love seeing pictures of buckles sets me up for the day ! . They are prettier than a speckled pup under a red based wagon .Forget the medals they 2 a penny ,buckles is where its at my man .

I'd put money on that being late 1944 going into the winter. Winter 44/45 was savagely cold on the Continent and RAF fighter and FB squadrons on the rudimentary bases there were issued Irvins (to those who didn't have them already) for wearing on the ground to keep warm, not for flying duties.
