New (to me) jacket movie- China Doll

I just watched China Doll with Victor Mature- kind of silly but chock full of CBI patched original A-2s. The little Chinese kid in the movie wears an original Dubow- must be a size 34. The jackets look great- almost as good as the jackets in the best (IMO) jacket movie-The War Lover. The movie definitely isn't as good however- it falls all apart at the end. Moved BACK to LBTI- JLT

Lifting this thread after almost 17 years, oh my gosh..
I watched the movie again after a long time, quite a lot of scenes with the guys wearing nice A-2's in the first half an hour of the movie.
It would be nice to see the movie in color.

What a great great A-2 movie- I gleaned a lot from just a quick perusal! 10 years after the war the original A-2s worn still look floppy and healthy- unlike the stiffer originals worn in the 70's Catch 22. Amazing- thanks for bringing this to my attention!

Victor Mature wears an obvious Star- it has the classic Star collar, the skiiiiinny eps and shows the big-shouldered fit that Stars normally had:

Thanks for sharing your screeen, nice A-2 jacket reviews. As i said it's a great shame that we don't have colorized images or the movie itself. I recall a few years back that i saw a full colorized Thirty seconds over Tokyo. Can't find it anywhere these days.
And yes, Victor Mature is such a great actor, and tall. He's born for acting WW2 characters.

There was a famous review for Samson and Delilah which he starred in with Hedy Lamarr. It said: “This is the only picture I’ve ever seen where the leading man has bigger tits than the leading lady.” To be fair I think he wrote chest...
