Yeah I'm with Greg, I much prefer the flap shape on the 27752.

But TBH with my order and what I'm after I really can't see myself going for anything other than the 27752 now as it's streets ahead in terms of my preference to the others I'd been thinking about.

That was Jimmy Stewart’s jacket model, right? Was reading up on him the other night. His past time was working on model planes. For that reason, 1401 isn’t bad idea.

So, what Ive gone and done is drop another deposit.
I plan on getting a russet and a seal.

I also plan on moving a couple of jackets that are not receiving enough love, and have time to do this.
Ultimately, I want to thin my collection out a bit and rather cycle through a handful of favourites and wear them in (hopefully these GWs tick the boxes)...

Having re-looked at the 1671, I agree about the pockets. But also, Im not sure what John can do with this jacket. I may be wrong, but I dont think John will have a pattern to copy, he may use a regular RW pattern and eyeball the details, adding a label.
Cant go wrong with any RW John makes, but if I go for a 1401 in russet, I think Id rather get something different for the seal.

So, back to a Bronco and a Dubow for a seal, with a RW running close third.

The beauty of this hobby is there's always more to explore: you get tired of A-2s, well then there are shearling jackets, cloth AAF jackets, Navy jackets, the list goes on and on....
