Thanks! What did you use for the bills on the sqaudron caps and the A-3. I have a worn out eastman A-3 that I would like to use as a pattern to make a new one. Trying to source materials.

The original A-3s used multiple layers of canvas/duck cloth lapped cross grain. IIRC they are all arranged on the bias so the weaves are crossed diagonally(I think). Does that even make sense?
Have you deconstructed the bill to see what ELC used?

Awesome thanks, yes that makes since. I have not taken it apart yet although where it is frayed it appears to be layers of canvas that seems to have some sort of coating on it.

Your caps are well done and would sell in the market place, as not many are manufacturing them, and those that do have a big price tag. Just a couple of Korean war caps, one is a nice 8 panel.
