Im sure Morten is on here and reading these posts. He is always open to suggestions...
Both BK and Aero offer 'civvi' ANJ-3s with epaulettes and internal windflaps. In AVI's case, it makes sense to keep production simple if you already have the M-422a
I'll have mine soon to review.
Looking forward to your review Brett.
I'm happy to see another offering on the market for the AN-J-3. It's a little more utilitarian looking than the A2 and M-422, but can be attractive in its own right if done well. I'm currently in Dave Sheeley's queue for a USN style Monarch AN-J-3 as we speak.
I honestly wish that Avi would offer a heavier, premium hide as an alternative option as well as 100% wool knits. It would take this particular jacket, their M-422a, and A2's up a few notches. Based on the prices of the other AN-J-3 offerings out there, a €399.00 or €499.00 option with these upgrades would still be a reasonable bargain.
My only other complaint would be the spec label. Too cheap and generic looking IMO. I think that I would have preferred a period looking civi style label or an experimental test sample label like Headwind uses.
