Amazing the number of times that one can look at a photo and notice something different. The rank tabs on Jimmy Stewarts RW are glued on and not sewn on.............Much easier when promoted to swap them for new.

Never a fan of 1401's due to what I've always thought was a somewhat larger collar than usual and I believed on the ELC I used to have was a fault, even to the point of asking Gary when the jacket was returned for a new zip (he didn't comment/ acknowledge) but that pic of JS proves not!

Yes, also interesting to see Jimmy's 1401 with freshly applied Lieutenant bars and no name tag sewn on yet.
I wonder if this film, directed by John Huston, was shot at Moffett Field, CA where Jimmy earned his wings.
