JIMMY STEWART'S ROUGH WEAR

Excellent photos and a really interesting thread as Jimmy Stewart is one of my favourite actors from the golden era so great to see such close details of his A2.

I have read Bomber Pilot and have to agree it's a great read, currently I am reading the new book about Jimmy by Robert Matzen called Mission which is tells Jimmy's story from his humble actor beginnings through to WW2 service also about his PTSD suffering but I haven't got that far into the book yet.

Really enjoying it so far so I would say it's worth a look if you get the chance.

cool, from what i have read so far, it's pretty interesting and talks about his early days as a struggling actor, his best friend Henry Fonda, his rise to fame in hollywood plus his time on the celebrity dating scence etc. - I have just got up to the beginning of WW2 in Europe and the rumblings in hollywood about celebs enlisting into the service.

the book is well written and holds the context very well I think, keeps you hooked so to speak :) oh and Kelly Stewart gives it the thumbs up also.

Yep. Agreed. Just add the correct 703rd BS patch, Stewart name strip and rank insignia to a repro RW 1401-p!

I find that the current ELC 1401p is far to light a colour for me....................I prefer the darker version that I had about 10 years ago.

I'd imagine with one this good you'd be loathe to wear it too much. Although nice to hear it gets the occasional outing to an airshow ;)

Has the earlier tiger facing left , The hierarchy had this changed because they thought is was backing up not attacking .Look to me to be about 7" with the border or 175mm not normal .
