Looks great Dave, if you need any detailed photos of my jacket I'd be happy to send you some. I might have to start saving up!

Oose,

I would LOVE to get some extreme closeups of the shell and lining fabrics. In my research I am starting to find out that it may not be a 100% cotton shell and would like to investigate more fully. Also dimensions on the label if yours has the Flite Wear label in it?

Thank you in advance,

DD

Hi Dave, no problem I take some tomorrow. It does have a different feel to cotton I suspect it's a blend.

Thank you so much. Also one other thing. I need the finished dimensions on the zipper base tabs at the bottom front. I suspect mine may be a tad too narrow as they are based on the Gov’t spec L-2 and no this particular jacket.

Thanks Dave,
Great info, I agree it looks like a L. W. Foster, I've owned a couple, one of the best G-1's in my experience.

Stu

I think LW only makes a Dubot at the moment.

From the series, From Earth To The Moon.

Not a bad repro, these are consistently shown through out the series. With Hanks and Howard being massive space nerds and always paying huge attention to details like Costume, I would think that even before they made Apollo 13 they were both collecting orginals.

I used to have a fire dept. station jacket, from the 1970s, which was made of modacrylic. It's also flame retardant, though I don't know if it's manufactured any longer.

It looks like (might be my bad eyes) that the blue jacket(s) have an action back? When one guy gets in the car...?
Did they have that?
