I don’t think maturity has anything to do with it. I’ve just seen several nifty original works but I also have a design of my own.

Hmm ... OK, about maturity. These are the difficulties foreign language speaking. You probably guess that English is not my first language. Despite the fact that I have been speaking and writing in English for a long time, figurative juxtaposition is sometimes very different from my native language and sometimes leads to slight misunderstandings.

I just meant that usually such a question as you asked is due to the fact that the person himself has not decided what he exactly wants (the repro of original or his own design) and therefore asks for the opinion of others. This is based on my personal experience.

You are set! Get the Dubow outbound ASAP with the first option.... I would replicate your WW2 art and verify the artist. Simon was great but Ties took the 321st patch where nobody else had ever taken it. Replicated the Aussie patch perfectly...

I’m waiting until I have both jackets in hand to decide which to fix up. The steer is plain and the HH I ordered with a name strip and shoulder AAF decal.

That’s probably the one that will get fixed up. I was going to get a layered leather patch from Mr. Collins but apparently mentioning this forum is the equivalent of yelling “ Ni!” At him. So there will be no fancy squadron patch. I’m going see what eBay has to offer and if I don’t find a good one I will ask Mr. Signor about a custom job.
I still haven’t given up on the idea of doing a tribute to my grandmothers B-17 but finding the information is going to be a challenge. If I can’t do that, I’m either going with a replication of “ Murder Inc” or my own design of a silver B-25 with a Buffalo sitting on top with a grumpy face, and “BIG MAC” above it in red letter with white outline.

Layered leather was preferred in the Mediterranean and CBI... less so in ETO... so get the Sqn/AO matched.

That was years ago when there were family pressures. He is back on track well and truly.

Hmm, that’s quite fetching. I didn’t think about doing up a cloth jacket. I’ve never really seen any patched and painted up
B-10/15s.
