That’s why I bought my first 2. Only place I ever saw them at the time. I found it from a little ad in the back of plane and pilot magazine around 85.some folks (companies) are more focused on 'authentic" copies while others "inspired" by and many in the middle. I don't think zapping the Cockpit for not being authentic makes sense as its not their focus. Agreed, they market that way. its a profit/money making operation. I'm not a fan but I really don't care about them one way or another. As posted above, I was going to buy one of their scarfs as a gift but passed due to high shipping costs. Remember, at one point, they were practically the only game in town for "repros" (using that word sparingly here) ................. and, the ONLY place where one could go to a physical store and try something on. Their NYC store was pretty cool to visit.
Exactly, and thank god you said 70’s vett and not early 60’sHere’s a little different opinion but along the same lines as CBIs. In the 1970s if you wanted an A2 repro flight Jacket Avirex was the only game in town . Originals were actually the way to go, if you could find one, as the prices were fairly reasonable. Today, we’re fortunate as we have a few, very accurate repro makers, who make some great jackets. Back in the 70s NO ONE scrutinized and dove into jacket details the way we do today. So Aiverx jackets went unscathed by those who are like us. We tend to drill down into the minutiae of every detail of a repro. So my question is this why are we judging Avirex so harshly. They were good for what they were at the time. Today we’re fortunate to have Good Wear and ELC making some great repros but back in the 70s NO ONE counted stitches per inch , or compare the X stitching in a shoulder epaulette. It’s like comparing a 1970s vette to a 2023 vette . It’s an unfair comparison.

Yes,... I'm not sure... according to this map, if I go straight west, I'll get to Paris.Well the good news is you’ll always be able to find your way home !
I spent a month in your neck of the woods in my first Avirex. Bought my second a week after I got home. That’s the only reason I remember exactly when I bought it.
Maybe it’s Paris Ontario Canada and the scale is off a bit.Yes,... I'm not sure... according to this map, if I go straight west, I'll get to Paris.

They would have thought they were in Ireland if it was the east coast. And good luck on that beach.by a misunderstanding, the Americans could have landed on the Canadian coast in June 1944
