My dad had a surplus A-2 in high school (late 40s) and when I got my first repro he warned me about the cuffs becoming "floppy donuts" if I wasn't careful!Not an A2 fan, but regarding the knits issue I wonder if pulling the knits when taking off the jacket could be a factor ?
Have always done this. Also try to be careful with B3 cuffs they can rip if they are tight.John’s spot on..
When you take off an A2 always reach up the sleeve and pull the sleeve off using the leather above the knits. Your knits will last a lot longer.
