HELP! STAR SPORTSWEAR - G1 JACKET

Hi there, I had Star Sportswear G1 Jacket, Can anyone tell me about this Jacket, is it the real issue or reproduction? Any comments and suggestions would be appreciated. Cheers Dtai

AVI LTHR will be releasing a Star Sportswear later this year. They have a acquired an original.
I don't think they will re-release their 55J14.

The jacket appears to be an original for sure, cant say about the patches.
You could ask Dave @Maverickson - he is super knowledgeable about all things USN jackets.

May I suggest you turn the photo around so that the USN is upside down to us. It looks like the number 24 is on the left in this side of the photo but its upside down. Maybe turning it might help us figure out what is says.

Late 7823D (WP) model.
Meaning late 1969 onwards.
Not necessarily 1971 (sometimes jackets were made a year or a few months before the number on the tag).
So, probably 1970-1971.
Dynel collar but should be goatskin!

I looked up what it says on your patch and the search sent me to the Standley... but let's check again.

Yeah, there's confusion somewhere, because you get two different initials and spellings, but the patch crest looks identical.

Funny, because I don't see a Chambers in the crew lists, either.
