Gizemo N-1 Olive Deck Jacket

Ok so I’m now in possession of a khaki Gizemo N-1, an olive Bronson N-1 and a Buzz N-1.

I love the Bronson which is from 2023, the lining although a mix is still warm-ish and the shape definitely fits me best.

The Gizemo is incredibly warm, the lining is 100% Alpaca, it’s well made with one small detail that annoys being the tips of the drawstring/cord are finished in plastic rather than metal.
Also while it fits well it does run short and the collar is large/tall.
It is perfect for the current sub-zero weather. I do like it.

The Buzz is what you’d expect, great shape/sillouhette and materials are good.

I don’t have an overall favourite but if pressed I’d go with the Olive Bronson.

One thing I will say is that the service from Gizemo was nothing short of excellent and I will definitely buy from them again.

Photos to follow….

So the above are images of the N-1 from Gizemo, appreciating replicating an early version of the Khaki contracts.

Minor niggles are body length, it could realistically do with being a little longer in line with original cuts, the plastic tips on the drawstring and the contract label.

The jungle cloth/cordura outer is thick and weighty, the alpaca lining is incredibly warm making it overall an excellent jacket for around £390 gbp including shipping to the UK.

While the Bronson’s are cheaper their latest Blue/Navy N-1 has an insubstantial liner, nothing like originals which is a shame as the Olive N-1 they produced in 2022 and 2023 was excellent throughout. Apparently they have no plans to re-issue this version which is a shame.
I’m not knocking Bronson, I absolutely love their stuff, I was just somewhat disappointed with their latest N-1’s.

I’m hoping Gizemo will reproduce their Olive N-1 this year, if so I’ll snap one up possible in a larger size.

Great review of the Gizemo N-1.
Thanks and congrats!
Was it difficult to purchase the jacket thru a proxy buying service?
