A couple more questions that I don’t think have been asked: I noticed the shearling you sourced is seal-colored. Will russet shearling be an option as well? Also, do you have a sense of what the price will be yet?

First we will make this in Seal Base colour, upper Arm Reinforcement Panels can be Used in HH Russet, or Sheep Russet afterwards we will also develop the new fleece colours and enhance the portfolio according to demands.

With The Great suggestions from the VLJ friends today we finally made our B3 Jacket, Please check and review its detailed images and inform us about your valuable comments, It takes the efforts of Month's and continuous Research and Development to to have the final results, We spend almost 4 days on the detailed stitching of this first B3 jacket and try our level best to meet all the details with authenticity, We made the proper Sheep Shearling in Proper required colour, Our Patterns for B3 based on an Original Jacket, Each detail is properly followed, Regarding the Buckles we try to find from the market but found no buckles like the B3 has, so we made the proper Die mold work and made the Authentic B3 shaped buckles for our jackets, I can say that on this jacket we paid heavily on its Research and Developments and in the form of materials and stocks, I am pretty sure you will like this and inform us about your kind remarks

Excellent! I would prefer tighter cuffs and a wider pocket though.

Shawn, this is fantastic, really well done. The only thing that looks off to me is the shape of the map pocket. Here’s a picture for comparison:

looks like it’s angled differently to me. Could just be a difference of contract. Either way you’re VERY close!

Agree. Lost Worlds have a small pocket, it looks odd.

And they start at $430 according to the website. Once these changes get made, Five Star is going to have a B-3 that holds its own against the big boys at a fraction of the cost.

Also, regarding John Lever’s other point, I just measured the cuffs on my B-3, and, for a jacket with a 24 inch pit-to-pit, the circumference of the cuffs is just about 11 inches. The cuffs on this repro should probably be similar.

BTW, I hope this is helpful, Shawn. This really is a fantastic repro, and it only has a couple details left to fix before it will be first rate.

Not exactly on the B3 topic (which looks an excellent jacket in your latest photos today), but I'm impressed with the colour of the shearling. I am in the market for another D-1 jacket, and considered Five Star, but wouldn't have one with the white sheepskin.

Will you be offering the D-1 in the same yellow-ish shearling as you are now using for the B-3?

The best B3's I have owned have had cuffs that were quite tight so that my hands only just went through.
I would like to see a seal/seal version.

Thank you i ve been searching for an affordable B3 JACKET for years and the five star look so fantastic! Shawn did a very good joboffering this B3 at reasonnable price . Most of the jacket have seen are expensive an that is a bunch of money for wearing only a few months in the cold season. Do we have still cold season for the future? Europe is well know for a nice climate not too hot not too cold. So look like i have to save some money for my next B3.
