Eastman Leather A-2 - Reissue 'Escape A-2'

Sitting in my chair dressed just in swimming trunks, mask, snorkel and flippers watching the 100th rerun of the Undersea World Of Jacques Cousteau.

Aah, good old Jack Custard. I used to ‘swim’ around the front room with a pair of workman’s goggles and a fairy liquid bottle strapped to my back with my old snake buckle belt, in imitation of the crew of the Calypso. As you say though, privacy of your own home and all that.

Was just watching a colorized version of "The War Lover". There's a bunch of stenciled A-2s, and during the pool table scene a nice closeup of what looks like a redyed Rough Wear. Given both films are McQueen, could the Escape jacket be found in The War Lover, or is that chance slim beyond reality?

The story I heard was that McQueen found the jacket for the Great Escape himself, in a thrift store. Not sure if it's true, but if so, it obviously wouldn't be the same jacket.

I realize the Escape jacket is far more "beat up" but still, rather interesting. If I read correctly The War Lover was released one year prior to Escape. Sorry guys, it's a boring night.

Yeah McQueen's is a bit ragged. But interesting nonetheless. McQueen wears a ragged B3 in war lover doesn't he?
