These are hit and miss. I’ve seen and handled them in person a few times since they were released. Most are overdone and look fake imo, there was one at one of the pop-ups this or last year that was not too bad. More subtle. Most look terrible and fake. I had a guy stood next to me at Biggin Hill airshow last year wearing one. It was not as terrible as the above pics, but it was obvious what it was.
Each to their own, but to me these look like ruined ELC RWs.
On the other hand, Eastman’s basic Timeworn treatment generally looks pretty good. Their 23rd FG RW1401s look amazing, as does/ did their 23rd FG HLBs.
Now that’s what they should have done with their Hilts jacket. Just over-dyed a darker seal like the HLB, and then let the wearer wear it in.

Yes, unfortunately its true. If you like your Eastman's, just wear the knit out and then replace them with knit from MASH.

My ELC RW 27752 is at least 23 years old. Knits are fine!

Sitting on the sofa at home watching the goggle-box doesn't count as wear Couchy. You have to wear it outside and do stuff in it. That's why it's called a jacket. Eat a kebab in it, wear it in a rainstorm, do some DIY and then change the oil in the car wearing it

ELC knits only became crapola during the last few years... they were fine in earlier days.

The colour looks great and the front patch too ... but that huge blood chit on the back ruined the jacket for me...just not my taste

Same... echo that... plus decoration ... regardless of how and what... is a personal taste matter... better no holes, no paintings, no decorations... easier to resell...

I sold my RoughWear A-2 jacket because of the knits fabrics ...in the year 2013 , one month later after its purchase, left knits with holes . Never again Eastman A-2

Bulky watches can have an impact on knits. I am REALLY cautious getting knits over my watch.
