There is a likelihood that the finish might lighten and fade over the years. Not to the extent of Nick's SFAD which I think has the perfect amount of consistent wear and 'patina' (it is nicer than saying grubbiness').

It is still an ELC B-3 so there is a great jacket under there. At least there is no horrendous art or AAF decal!

Actually I think it’s Saphir shoe polish. My first thought was that they’ve just used that to dye the off-white surface brown, without applying any lacquer like the brown B-3’s had, but it does look to me like the surface has been sealed. The leather I think was done by the factory, because the ELC SFAD’s come with the leather bits pre-distressed.
