Go forth with a stout heart armed with either sharp needle nose scissors, a stitch unpicker* or razor / Stanley blade but use the last two with extreme caution

Of course, the only tools at hand are nimble fingers and the razor! I might go look for something more appropriate over the weekend.

I'll echo @Micawber here. I find I don't use seam rippers very often, but whenever I do need them, they're indispensable. Well worth having one.
