BRITISH WW2 TANK COMMANDER'S SHEEPSKIN JACKET

Definitely post war and most I have seen are from the 1950s and 1960s. Nevertheless is the seller deliberately misleading people or just plain ignorant?

I think his ebay shop name is a give-away, also his other items are some of the most ridiculously over-priced things I ever seen! Reminds me of that Harry Enfield character from the Harry and Paul series, the Chelsea 'antiques' dealer that sold rubbish to gullible socialites at silly prices.

I have checked his shop out too and everything is overpriced and some with questionable provenance.

For sale as tank commander jackets? ;)

The seller tells me he bought the jacket at auction and it was sold as a tank commander's jacket. He also said it was the first sheepskin jacket he has handled, so perhaps it is ignorance on this occasion.

Yes, but now you've enlightened him I see the listing remains the same. (I enjoyed the authenticity of his Bismark model being substantiated by propping up a DVD of 'Sink the Bismark" next to it.)

Rich, the guy's a fool and hopes someone gets taken in by his spin and buy the jacket. I guess he's taken others in in his ripe-off shop.
