1700 too rich for me alsoYeah, there’s a few out there making some nice ones , but very expensive. I’ve seen some for 1700. Too rich for me. Especially when I’m going to beat the shit out of them."

I thought they looked ATF.US WWII Service Shoes, Type II - Made in USA
Exact reproduction WWII US Army Service Shoes, made in America with genuine Goodyear soles & heel. These are exclusively an ATF product, and are as close as you can find to brand new vintage ankle boots from 1943.www.atthefront.com
I stripped the paint though and re-dyed them myself a few years ago.
I guess this comes as no surprise to me.I really don't get the boot thing.

I've been wearing boots regularly since high school in the 70s. Maybe it's the support they give my flat feet and weak ankles -- or maybe it's just because they look so cool.
Different strokes, but Chuck Taylors just don't look right with flight jackets.
Then again, my old SL 72s made a statement with my M-65.
As said, different strokes.BTW- this is actually the look I go for with the flight jacket- Japanese cool guy! (As far as an old white guy can pull it off)

How did you strip them? I'd like to do that with a pair of Corcorans I have.

Saw his review when it first hit -- it would be nice to be able to nail down a production timeline for Corcoran and when they may have (or have not) changed their production process.Speaking of Corcorans
