The name of the film is "Летчик" (The Pilot), and it should be released in 2021. To be honest, I don't know anything about the plot, they just filmed this episode last winter at the LII airfield and we were there cause we were ferrying our plane here.
Here is a very short video of starting MiG-3 engine that I found on YouTube that is episode from this movie from last early spring

They used all the flying Russian warbirds that they could find and I already shared a video here last year from the IL-2 team who also flew as a participant in the film.

Oh yes! Even more so when you meet some like minded people there... The press enclosure was a good spot to get some wingmen for a Spitfire free Alenhunt mission :D

Nice shot, Burt. I didn't see Belle in USAF Museum, she was placed a couple of years ago, during my last visit to Dayton, in her place was another beauty - Shoo Shoo Shoo Baby B-17.

I heard Baby is still there but in a another hangar and it seems they want to transfer her to another museum.

Early flight school shot, wearing a couple of recently issued G1s. T-28B. 1300 bhp R1820 engine. It was like strapping on a locomotive. Not a warbird per se, but built as a trainer to familiarize student pilots with the power and handling of pre jet age fighter and attack aircraft. This was 1977 so the Navy used these well into the jet age. Fun times!
