Some Axis birds in museums (all taken with my phone at the time, so the quality is not that high).

Heinkel He 111 from the MHM Flugplatz Berlin Gatow at a temporary exhibition in Rotterdam (actually Casa C-2.111B dressed up as a Heinkel, but it's pretty close if you ignore the Merlin engines. Also the bombs would leave the bay tail first, not as shown, but you could look into the bomb bay where another bomb was positioned properly, so some dramatic licence to show the bombs is forgiveable).

Close up of the 'greenhouse' at the front of the bomber.

Ohka Model 11 manned flying bomb replica at the Yasukuni Shrine Yūshūkan war museum. The view of the war in the East presented in this museum in Tokyo is controversial to say the least, but they have some very impressive displays.

Nose art on , if I recall correctly, a Bf 110 in the Deutsches Technikmuseum in Berlin

thanks a lot for the compliments guys :)
here´s a few more from Duxford from Flying Legends times, sadly gone by now; the B-25 shot was taken at Zeltweg several years ago; I doubt that the "Airpower" show will see a revival after Corona times but hope remains...

Great photos, Phil.
Here is familiar I-153 from your photo, tail number 19 (with removed wheel fairings) on the movie filming last winter here.

Wowww! It's great to see that the I-15 is still active! I can remember its display to this day-it was very dynamic and showed the agility of the last generation of biplane fighters. There was also an I-16 displaying at Duxford (need to find pictures of that one)any years ago and I have seen a Mig-3 at MAKS about 10 years ago (need to go there again-amazing show) - amazing memories :)

If Covid madness ends, then next year's summer will be MAKS-2021. Come, I'll be glad to see you here.
Yes, the I-153 is still flying, like the MiG-3.
Here are some photos

It would be great to come to Moscow and meet you there! I really hope that from the summer of 2021 on, things will return to halfway normal again...

And that Mig looks great! I hold a soft spot for it ever since "flying" it in IL-2 when the sim first came out and then reading Pokryshkins memoirs, recounting his days flying it and accidentally shooting down an own Su-2 on his first combat mission...
