Nice, wearing Luftwaffe Splitterschutzbrille ( anti splinter googles) and fleeced cap LKP 53.
Jimmy Stewart wore his original size 40 WW2 Roughwear 1401 for "You Gotta Stay Happy"... That jacket is now in the National Aviation Museum. Its a spectacular jacket. Stewart was assigned to the 703d Bombardment Squadron of the 445th Bomb Group, flying B-24s.

Absolutely agree with you. Thanks! That is my favourite original A-2 of all time, just classic! And Jimmy wears it like a BOSS
BryceDid Jimmy fly real combat missions with all involved risks?
Thx, that’s amazing... and admirable...not even thinking about ...if he was taken POW ( or worse)... Propaganda etc...what a blow if so...Bryce
He actually had a pretty distinguished war record. He flew B-24 Liberators out of Italy with the 15th Air Force and unlike a lot of the movie stars who served, but just showed up for photo shoots he was in the middle of many combat missions . He remained in the Air Force reserves until late into his life and attained the rank of Brigadier General.
