It looks alike, but I am not sure.

Not an Alpha- the windflap doesn't have a zigzag pattern.

Back in the day I had the "Hunter" jacket figured out. It looks like a 1976 Greenbrier Industries jacket because it has vertical stitching on the windflap. But the Greenbrier is an official jacket and has wool lining etc. For some reason that I can't remember I fugured out Mcqueen's jacket wasn't an issue jacket but rather a holofill ( or whatever it's called) later jacket. It has the characteristics of the Greenbrier with the vertical stitched windflap:

I can't retread my logic from back when but I'm not sure it's a Greenbrier- I think it's commercial...

Probably you are right about that, at some scenes in the movie, the orange color liner looks like very thin polyester materia.

Life Magazine originally published these photos, but then realized the anguish it could cause the relatives of the killed soldier -- all subsequent versions had the (typical of the time) black rectangles covering the mens' eyes.

Looking at the larger image on my desktop and I see "all that blood" has been cropped out of the picture. The original is truly distressing -- very unreal the first time I saw it.
