PS, re my practical comment I should add that the lack of an inside pocket has always been the downside, especially these days with your mobile, wallet etc! I did get some lining material off Eastman some while back with the intention of making my own and hand stitch but have never got around to it!! The front 2 pockets are marginally better than an A1 but nonetheless the A2 looks good with snapped down collar or unsnapped - a discussion had here several times!

If I buy an A2 it would be a very worn used one. I like my cars with full service history and one previous owner but I like jackets to be well worn and shabby.

Someone mentioned that to me one time - to get a used this or used that with patina, nicks, scratches. I disagree. I want that ring around the collar to be my sweat, dirt and body oil. I want the scratches to be because of something I did. I want it to be broken in by me. 10 years from now, I want it to tell MY story.
