Just to point out-
I have never owned an A2 and at present have no plans to buy one.

Buy that man a cigarNot to worry - John loves sheepskin and A-1's. He's probably kinda tired of all of the A-2 talk most of the time on this forum. I kind of zone out with all of the A-2 details talk myself sometimes. There's so much to cover in WW2, aviation. etc. that pointed vs. curved A-2 pockets can only keep my interest for a moment. That said, love that folks like JC and ELC are nius about these details so we can own great looking products!!!!
Yes you should Mr. Lever. I feel you'd look particularly dashing in a Rough Wear contract.... 1401-p perhaps?Should I buy an A2 ?
If so which one....?
A used Good Wear John … doesn’t matter which one …I know that you’re an ELC man but GWs are the way to go with your first one. If you buy anything else you’ll be waisting money because eventually you will get there and want one . Take my advice and make a GW your first and an ELC your second one. You’ll understand later on .Should I buy an A2 ?

Preach, B-Man. Just so happens to be my first... and second... and third... and.............A used Good Wear John … doesn’t matter which one …I know that you’re an ELC man but GWs are the way to go with your first one. If you know two things you can be successful with your purchase. Know your measurements … and know the jackets measurements . I’ve purchased previously worn GWs for years that way , from sizes 44 to 48 and they all fit perfectly …. You’ve seen them here in “ What jackets “ . Perfect fits all .No good they are bespoke fits.
