But it’s interesting considering they are supposed to be the same, when in fact they’re only the same in general terms. I guess each contractor ticked the boxes of the requirements in general terms. As opposed to aircraft being built by other companies who would use the same plans, jigs etc. It’s surprising to me that they wouldn’t have done this with a uniform piece.

I mean, by the same token as "all A-2s are the same"... ;)
I can see - Seal Brown with russet or seal hh trim, redskins, mixed batch and non coating. These features would be noticeable at a distance of several feet/metres.
(Say the length of a tennis court. )
