I love boots but it would be a toss up between those boots or the doghouse, mama or chipsThat's $900 for a pair of boots? They're not even WWII?
He talks about that and how the boots he buys aren't exactly collectibles.I really wish that shoe video guy would stop sawing original WWII boots in half for a youtube channel.
I'd look at those closer if they were built on a similar last and used the same heels.Alden Indy’s are nice, but I agree that they’re way overpriced. I got a pair of handmade “Adventurer” boots from Wested (Goodyear welted too) for a fraction of the price of Aldens and I like them very much

I agree, except that he's also questioning whether Indy would actually wear such a chintzy boot on his adventures.That basically sets him up to have unrealistic expectations for what is essentially a business-casual/light work boot.
Right, and getting into the anachronism of the periods leaves Weston's reviews a little inconclusive.For the time period the Indy movies are set in, Aldens would qualify as work boots.
