The colour is very close to the real thing

I know for a fact that Jon went through some solid research and lots and lots of tests, to get the colour exactly like that. Like the real thing.

Yep - you have also got to remember that my original is 70 years old, and as such the leather is aged, worn in, and has also been exposed to cockpit grease, dirt and grime (all I have done is given it a thin coat liquid leather conditioner), so will look a little bit darker.

In fact, I would say that the repro colour is 100% correct, as in the fact that is what my original would have looked like when first issued

I have looked at your pictures several times by now and I know I am being redundant, but that is by far the most original looking Irvin repro I've seen, bar none. I am interested to see if John is considering expanding the fleece colors in the future, as I mentioned in another thread some of the Andrews' originals for example

Thanks Tom - that's why I bought one of Jons Irvins, the leather was nigh on the same as my original
The leather just looks like its made from the same batch as my original but unworn...its a great jacket
