Hey Folks,

What is your opinion regarding this jacket, patch is really rare (325th Bomb Sq., 92nd Bomb Group) and in mint condition. Haven't seen this variant yep, but based on how it is constructed it looks very good. Just wanted to ask you about your opinion on this jacket, is it a genuine WW2 A2 or a great repro?

I think I saw this one on greed bay. patch looks legit. run a uv light over it. if doesnt glow, its period correct.

Thanks SS, I'm aware about UV testing, this can be dangerous when faker uses a proper old stock materials to reproduce patch.

This is a very cool piece but I'm not buying it, not a big enthusiast of A2 yet

Thought that felt patches were only used after WW2… but its an every day learning process..

Hey Pilot, as far I know felt was used during WW2 for patches, just haven't seen yet felt patch of the 325th bomb group.

Very interesting jacket and patch (in my opinion), also looks like at very reasonable price.

Sold this Perry A-2 with a felt patch a while ago.
The ex-owner mentioned the pilot got it during a Korea tour…hence my wondering… but yes learned something.

plenty of felt embroidered patches used in the wto, and cbi during wwll. some hand done, some machine done, some chain stitched,, some chenille,, etc. check out the shiffer a-2 books.
