Latest addition to the collection is a A2 Deck Jacket issued to a crew member of the submarine USS POMODON SS-486

The USS POMODON was launched in 1945 and decommissioned in 1970 - sold for scrap in 1972

The jacket is a early version with the triangular pocket-flap. The label unfortunately is no more legible.

The jacket came fully patched - the word "WETSU" is short form form "Wet Suit" means the owner was possibly a scuba-diver

He was called or said „ Chevalier Sans Peur Ni Reproche“..
Meaning The knight without fear ( sans peur ) and without blames ( sans reproche )
… sub sans peer… sub without fear…
