It fits like a 42" though.
My 44 is a tight fit on me so I would say Steve is spot on here.

The size is 44 and measures 24ins pit to pit ...

Nah .... 4" over the tagged size, that should fit true to size. :?

Re: Itty Bitty A1 by Eastman

It's OK in the chest, but the shoulders and waist are a different story. You can take that one to the bank.

So what do I know?

My Few A-1 (size 42) measures 22" across the chest, with 17 1/2" shoulders, and it fits me fine. I figured that for an Eastman I would need a size 40 ... so maybe not, risky business, this Internet shopping.

Well, the A-1 is a quite trim fitting jacket (it's almost like a leather cardigan), but I wouldn't call it tight on me - just how it should be, I would say - and I take a 40 in some jackets so it's not like I'm on the small side 38.
