Hello all! Does anyone have a good photo of an original WWII 522nd Fighter Bomber Squadron patch? I have one but it is pretty blurry. Thank you!

I see that . You’re probably spot on regarding the “ unauthorized “. May have been one of the groups in the 522, that had it made in country .Yes - check this link, scroll down about halfway they show a 522nd pilot and a close up shot of his A2 with this patch. My guess is this is an earlier possibly "un-authorized" patch? But not sure, but it was worn by this squadron that was awarded FIVE DUCS in WWII !! Best, Bill
Might consider having @Yardstick make you one .Yardstick, THANK YOU! Best, Bill K.
I believe I had asked him in the past, but I do not think he does them for others, just himself? I especially LOVE his embroidered patches!! Best, Bill K.Might consider having @Yardstick make you one .
Shame as he does fantastic work.I believe I had asked him in the past, but I do not think he does them for others, just himself? I especially LOVE his embroidered patches!! Best, Bill K.
Was this last one at bottom (Fireball/disc) used during WW2 or post war ???????Here are the 2 images I have of the unofficial design and one of the original, which may or may not be of WWII vintage.

Bottom patch design wasn't approved until 1951, so I don't think it was used during WW2 .Was this last one at bottom (Fireball/disc) used during WW2 or post war ???????
