From speaking to others it seems colour appreciation is not a strong point with many tanneries, add on language differences and it compounds the issue.
John, you're right, it is too dark. I know you and most Irvin guy prefer the more authentic duller coating, but I much prefer a nice shine. I guess the only problem I can see in the design is a bit too much fluff in the bottom hem. Agreed?The shape looks ok but it looks too dark in the photos and perhaps slightly too shiny. Irvins had a different coating to USAAF jackets I believe.

Thanks for that. FFS, more ‘antique brass!’. Why can’t anyone use proper brass any more? Silver one looks good though.
Here’s some more. I tidied them up a wee bit. Is the hem a bit wooly? Regardless of that it looks like a winner to my eye.
