On another subject, that of cost of the jackets, those that I know of were provided at a substantial discount, some were kept, some were returned, and each party gives the other credit for publicity purposes.

LucasFilm Says Red Tails Rumors Are False

It seems George Lucas is pleased with the film after all A new bombshell of a rumor hit the web yesterday and today, it turns out that there was no truth to the story after all. We received a statement from LucasFilm regarding the story about Red Tails that First Showing posted yesterday, saying there is no truth to the story at all. Here's the LucasFilm statement:

"On behalf of Lucasfilm, I wanted to let you know the story that is circulating about production on Red Tails is completely inaccurate. George Lucas and Rick McCallum are very pleased with the work Anthony Hemingway did directing the film and additional shooting that is scheduled to take place was built into production before it began, as it is on all our films."
