Which G-1 ?

Bill Kelso is considering the release of a G-1 reprodution.
Have already acquired 3 different early and rare contracts and thinking which one they should reproduce.

Without telling you which are the 3 contracts (want to keep it for surpise) I would like to ask, which G-1 contract you would like to see reproduced.

Your opinions will be very much appreciated as always.

Well, since it is a "surprise,"

But if that one is too time consuming for the level of accuracy it depicts then perhaps

Regardless, keep up the great work.

The LW Foster 55J14 is kinda nice.

Isn't this the one ELC makes?

Yes, although it's not an exact match.

The Dubow G-1 is probably out of bounds, Lost Worlds have the rights to the name in America.

So, that means either,

Pritzker
Cagleco
Burjac
Breier of Amsterdam
Aviators clothing Inc.

I am afraid that is not correct. Lost Words does not even seems to have the rights to the Lost Worlds name registered.

Thanks your suggestions.
Dubow is a good suggestion and B.G Inc too, only where to find the originals???

Bill Kelso currenly owns 3 original G-1 contracts earlier than Dubow...

Platon, might be less convoluted to confirm which early examples you have and conduct a straw poll of the USN jacket collectors?

It's not a bad idea
The menu has the following:

SPECIFICATION MIL-J-7823(AER) & AMEND. #2 L.W. FOSTER SPORTSWEAR CO, INC. CONTRACT N383-22356A
SPECIFICATION MIL-J-7823 (AER) MONARCH MFG. CO. CONTRACT NO. N383s-80667
SPECIFICATION MIL-J-7823(AER) WERBER SPORTSWEAR, INC. CONTRACT NO.383S-88886

so, which one?

I vote Werber. I don't think anyone else is doing a Werber, are they?

No one.
Werber is interesting as it is the first MIL-J-7823 contract
everyone seems to love the Monarch though.

Is there demand for repro 7823 G-1s, given that originals in most sizes can be picked up relatively cheaply ?

I don't know if there is demand.
Aslo, a Werber or Monarch G-1 is not one that you can find everyday in your size and in wearable condition.

Also, someone who wants a brand new G-1 leather jacket can only go with the repro.

Good luck finding a size 44-46 1950's original in great shape and at a reasonable price. Hence, the repro is a welcome idea around here.
