As all brillant men in history they all have their faults. MacArthur ran his course in conjunction with Bull Hulsey and other
Navy Admirals that affected the War in the Pacific. MacArthur was a good tactician. Hulsey made it possible. When it came to the big picture in Korea, MacArthur
he was wrong. The Greatest President in recent history made a corrrect guttsey call when he sent MacArthur home. Truman had the precient gut feeling MacArthur was wrong, Truman had the guts to say enough. Plus, as any good manager he said don't screw with what I said.

Kennedy, if you forget his piccadillos, had a vision for our country that would have advancances our American culture.

Bottom Line, every great man or woman has human failing, but great advances in whatever their historical period is their legacy and is nothing we need to judge other than their results. If you fail to see, George Patton was a man of his time, the only one who could have accomplised what he did, but could not have existed in the aftermath of WWII.
