LVC 501s

Swing,

Are the 1108's similar in fit to an LVC 47? I get the impression they may be trimmer. I'm about to pull the trigger on some and just need a little clarification first.

Allen and Grant, some nice looking denim there gents. I'm currently braking in a pair of 55's, so far one soak no wash and 3 months in. I'll post pics around next June! ;)

I don't have a pair of LVC '47. Do have a pair of size 38 '55s and '44s. The size 40 1108C is bigger in the waist than both, noticably shorter in rise than both, and smaller in the thigh than both. Best way to describe the 1108? Low rise, slim, 40s cut?

Cheers Swing, they sound pretty trim so I may swerve them in favour of the 1101 as they appear to be twixt the two, fuller than a 1108 and not so full as a 0105. Jesus! It's bleedin' denim minefield out there!

0105 is a 50s cut, and will be very similiar to LVC 55s. Maybe a little more tapered below the knee, and a little less rise. I give it my highest recommendation, and I kick myself in the ass for not picking up a pair of the contest model in size 38 before BiG sold out of them.

Currently wearing a pair of LVC 1955s for the cultizm.com contest, I'm liking them a LOT. Just picked up a pair of Warehouse 15th Anniv. 1001XX jeans to split time with the '55s, and I'm really liking them too (though they're almost too small in the waist to wear). Anyone want to buy a pair of lightly worn Oni Reds, Warehouse 800s, or Full Count 1108Cs (all size 40)?

Cool, man ia really like LVCs 55s and I'll bet they look great.

The 47s are much trimmer than the 1955s.

The 1878s. They have a buckle that actually works after the clip and much better than the old pressed metal type. I also sewed on some suspender buttons. These are very high waisted and slim compared to other early years LVC repros. Been wearing them raw and plan to for several months.

The denim is different than the denim on my 1901s and 1880s.

Figured I'd shoot a few shots of my 1947s while I was at it. These have been in water 3 times and did have a pre soak. This is the 4th pair of 47s I've owned. They are from early last year and by far my favs.

I really like the cut of the 1878s. With the high rise and fishtail back, I'm surprised that suspender buttons needed to be added (I can't see belt loops or am I missing something?). Are these still available?

Yes Dejan had them and they're really slim in cut, they're so high waisted and they have a buckle that really works I probably didn't need to add the suspender buttons but I did. Grab these while you can they are really sweet.

Those 1878's are a lot like the pair of turn of the century duck canvas trousers I snagged from eBay. Very high rise and stove pipe straight legs. They take a little getting used to.

Those look good. When I went to the Aero shop, they had some "jeans" that were ~$500! The thickest material I've ever seen. I'd love to have the money and try a pair of them - after washing them 50 times first

The 1880s are 9 oz and the 1933s are 10 oz denim as were the originals so they're not so heavy but tough as nails.

Wanna sell 'em? :)

I am thinning the LVC herd. Not sure right now which ones but the lovely Mrs said I have to make some room in the closet. All are tagged 38 waist (different lengths).

Hey everyone,

Got some stuff up on greedbay right now if anyone is interested. I also have a pair of modern PREMIUM 2009/10 cone denim red line little e 501s that I am also thinking of selling. These are the current 501 cut but made in USA with red line cone denim. These are really sweet 501s and are just starting to break in. Have only been cold soaked twice IIRC. Tagged 38/34 PM if interested. Otherwise these will also be on greebay.

Some recent photos of a pair of 1933s I have been breaking in since late winter. Worn raw as long as I could stand them. Only been in water 3 times.
