Here is one that got away, only to be caught later..

I was runner-up bidder in the original auction for this Goodwear Perry recently. For whatever reason, the buyer bailed on the deal, and I was contacted by the seller for a 2nd chance offer. After a few moments of juggling finances because I have since purchased other jackets, I pulled the trigger, for what was IMO, a very sweet price for one of JC's Perry's...
If the seller's measurements are correct, the jacket should fit damn near as well as if were to order a new one. The pics were not the greatest in the world, but the seller has great feedback. I do find it curious that the jacket was listed as steerhide however.. Going through the seller's listings and sales, it seems that ALL of the A-2's listed and sold were described as " " colored leather, or excellent quality steerhide leather. They had another civvie jacket listed as horsehide before, and it was clearly labeled as such on the jacket. I'm wondering if the seller only lists the leather type if it is tagged on the garment?... Either steer or horse is fine by me for the $$ regardless... If it's horse, I'll consider that a bonus..
I wonder how many steer Perry's were made by John?
