Congratulations, keep busy.
John, is you can't zip it up with your slight build, that must have REALLY shrunk. Pretty rotten that he won't replace it with what you want after such a wait and anticipation.Sadly I have to report that the jacket was too small.
Gary made me a special concho without the concho or chest patch. Basically a hand dyed SFAD B3.
Tagged a 42, I couldn't even zip it up fully and the arms were only 23 in long. I found out that they wash the jackets as part of the process and this causes shrinkage. I asked for a non wahed replacement but Gary wouldn't entertain it.
All round a real disappointment.
Bummer.
Yes it was..a very nice Hookless zipIf it shrank that much what state was the zip in, must have been wrinkled go hell!
That is the EXACT thing that Stuart did at Lost World's, when I sent his A-2 back because the measurements weren't as ordered. No email or conversation, just a refund. This was before I discovered GW, and glad I did! John, maybe he's showing true colors? He just gave me my money back...not what I wanted tbo
That sounds like it would be a really fun project. And his shearling is first-rate.have you thought about contacting JC and seeing if this project would be of any interest to him?
But so are his skills! His lead times are in years....
