I still need to find which container I put my M65 in and maybe wear it now and then. I was issued one in 1998, perhaps about the end of issue of them as we were all wearing the GoreTex jackets exclusively by then. It's woodland camo and of course has my nametape and branch tapes, as well as the 2nd ID shoulder patch.
CIF didn't want it back when I eventually turned my issue stuff back in. I never once wore it except when I turned my stuff on, because I kept my GoreTex jacket (and Kevlar XL sized helmet which saved my life), turning in instead replacements I bought at local surplus places outside the post. So, I wore my M65 with my rank pinned to the epaulets. It's stayed like this ever since. I probably wore the thing less than 24 hours total.
