Even on this small screen in the computer shop I can see, it's buttoned closed with the button sitting right above the edge of the flap .... anyone?

I also did a quick search for other pictures of Lt. Col. Tinker, interestingly in most of them he's wearing an A-1.

Yeah, I guess I can see the vague shape of what could be a button on the wearer's left-hand pocket, but I guess I've been a photo color-corrector too long to not want true high-resolution before I make a judgment.

That and the magic "photo enhancement" software they use in all the Jack Ryan movies! ;)
