After seeing the jacket that Daniel Craig
( James Bond) wore in the movie Skyfall I researched it and found that it was a version of the LVC Menlo jacket. I liked it but couldn’t find one in my size at a reasonable cost so… I had one made . Grab these original G-1s at reasonable prices while you can. They are disappearing into collections at a rapid pace and prices will eventually be going up up and away !’

Absolutely right about that @B-Man2 Burt - actually i already noticed an increase of prices even within the last 2 yrs.

G1 in sizes 44 and up in good condition are in a pricerange 500 bucks and higher already. Pristine examples are going for well over 1.000 bucks so it is actually time for everyone who might be interested to grab his favourite maker. Talking about G1 but not the WW2 examples like 55J14, 422A, aso - they are even more expensive ...

I noticed some very nice G-1s here during the last few days...
might be the time to grab a still older one than the Star from 1971 I own...

might be the time to grab a still older one than the Star from 1971 I own...

Bit of a correction there. That's a CWU-9/P. I don't think these liners were authorized as outerwear, so I would call it a BR fantasy piece. Cool, anyhow. Lightweight, relatively warm, and easy to wear. Noticed that BR modified the original design to include two extra pockets in the front. Makes it handier. Originally just had the one small chest pocket which isn't good for much.
