What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

Yes, this will probably be my next order.
The latest clone combat shown here (Aero, I believe) really caught my eye ! o_O

I'd like John's opinion on the chrome-tanned leather... I'm still convinced that the main problem with most A-2 reproductions is their rigidity. I've been watching vintage films again recently, A-2s drape beautifully and seem to behave like silk shirts (I'm exaggerating a bit but you get the idea).
I'd love a very fluid and supple leather, I think that's one of the keys to an accurate A-2.

I've always heard that shinki was pretty stiff out of the box - is that not the case?
Yes it is but it is the type of leather that the "wear the hell out of it" refrain really does work on. It will become loose and floppy and grainy in my experience.

A few days ago I ordered an M422A from Avi Leather and yesterday it was delivered, it’s a size 42 (I’m 187cm tall weight 74kg and chest 40”)
I think the fit is oké (but I’m a newborn here ) but for now on it’s my daily wear.

SAPHIR has good products for the care of leather . But stay away from based petroleum products use beewax and vegetal grease and the leather, your jacket will thank you.
boots are old US army paratroopers boots.

Fit looks spot on! I cant imagine a more perfect fit.
Most importantly, how does it feel

The jacket looks very nice and the fit is comfortable, leather is a bit stiff, but since yesterday it’s already getting better.
Still have a bit room for some layering.
But I think an M422A model is a bit more snug in the chest area then an A2 jacket, at least I hope so..(there is an A2 jacket incoming from BK in a size 40 but with extended sleeves and back)
But I’m happy that this one fits me well, also a great thanks to @greg for some info about the measurements and his video :)

I almost killed the 5* dubow that I presented with Saphir result with that shit , I will never use it again .I remember a thread about this kind of products .
About the boots , are they service shoes type 2 ? The shape of the cap toes don't have the bulbous aspect of the usual WW2 Jump boots .

Update , I use , for all leathers : bags , jackets , boots this . A gentle layer with the hand , wait , then remove woth a rag and a brush. Then Saphir time ! ;) I think everyone has his own preferences !!! It's only that in France it's easyer to get that product , it's a good one .

Not me but my son wearing my beloved size 48 GW Star. His build makes the Star look perfect- in real life (not done justice to by my stupid phone camera) the jacket looks like what I envision a new original would have appeared.
