AVI LTHR A-2 with 9AAF shoulder patch
Part 1 of a project for this jacket.
The people I had sew the patch are idiots however, didn't listen to a thing I said, even with photos, tape and guides... They still placed it incorrectly. This is exactly where an AVI comes into its own.
I can live with this, but if this had been done to one of my BKs, Platon Dubow or ELC... Id have gone bananas o_O

According to the regulations the patch should be placed 1/2 inch under the shoulderseam. Your patch is on the right spot !

Pics are a bit dark... Jacket is not as dark in person.
Patch is higher than I'd like, but its fine. I have tons of WWII pics with shoulder patches that are set high.
(I guess there were many Privates who liked peeling potatoes)

I just had a look in some books like Bianchi's and Pons' ones Brett and lots of pics of shoulder air force patches at the same position as yours.

Jack seems to have settled any doubt as well.

You can breathe easy now!

Felix (well, actually it's me, Phil ) on the prowl... On my way to the city to pick up a new book about Marine aces in the SWPA in WW2 and as it is quite warm today I thought it would be appropriate to give my ELC G-1 a go again today for the first time this year...as temperatures are predicted to stay around 10°C for the next days, it will be out with the sheepskins and in with the A-2/G-1/M-422a squad, maybe even the 37J1
