What jacket(s) are you wearing at the moment?

I wouldn't call it "hot", but it certainly is a slight bit warmer than Pilot's jackets.
The ELC is also slightly heavier.

They do compliment each other. :)

I have one of the test cyclist jackets made by the French artisans, before Brice made the jackets himself.
I imagine that during the production of these test jackets, many different leathers were used.
The leather used for mine is particularly thin and light (nothing negative about that) and drapes like light fabric. It's really nice, but it doesn't protect from the cold.

I think there's a couple of factors at play. One is the lining itself. The other part is how much room for layering the jacket (e.g. by the chosen size) can provide.
With appropriate layering and by moving about instead of just standing still, you can wear the ELC in the winter, but it's not comparable to dedicated warmer jackets like the B-10 or B-15.

That's me, however. Your mileage and perception of warmth may vary.
I'm kind of a "Frostbeule" :)

Edit:
One thing that came to my mind is that the ELC (being more wearable in colder weather) can set you up for a "gotcha" - as the hand-holes are buttoned, a bit of wind can easily enter the the slit/ gap there and make it uncomfortable if you're wearing lighter clothes, like just a T-shirt, underneath.

I have one from the same artisan and it's not super heavy either. But for me it's perfect just the way it is because I can wear my cyclist most times of the year, it's perfect for spring and autumn but I wear it also at cooler summer days. It turned out to be one of my favorite jackets. For the hardest winter days I have other jackets.

This afternoon was pleasantly mild and sunny so I put a bit of gentle wear time on the original Perry Sportswear 42-161475P that I purchased from Burt, B-Man2 a little while ago. Deliberately chosen to be a fuller, comfortable fit, the sizing will allow for layering underneath during cooler weather and also as I already have one of JC's of the same contract.

Looks the dog's danglies Steve!

That trim fit rubbish is just silly in my opinion when it comes to A-2s. The nature of the design is slightly restrictive so you're always going to be better off going for a more comfortable fit.

That's a jacket you'll be able to layer in when the weather gets colder and also be comfortable to move around in and do things in.

Perfect ensemble. Fit, everything. Even your alert and beautiful companion! Any reason for the color difference in the cuffs vs. the waste knit? Just curious...
