Spot on fit!

Damn nice looking jacket that!

Thanks.. :) In all honesty, this jacket fits like it was made to measure for me. Trim, but comfortable. Kind of has this 'trim-but-fits-well' vibe going on, only a bit more forgiving from how the pic looks to me:

I've been comparing the construction and stitching between some of my 'better' jackets, and the folks at Aero who patterned, cut, and stitched this jacket together did an exceptional job. Whoever stitched it together surely had many years of experience with M422-A's, G-1's etc.. Again, just exceptional. This is a jacket that won't be leaving my stable, PERIOD! (barring some extreme weight-gain or such... :p;) ) I consider myself VERY fortunate, and grateful to have become it's caretaker. :)

EDIT: Regarding the stitching.... Here's the back-of-the-collar detailing : (Lighter brown color must be from the flash)

Once it gets some wear and the leather relaxes like in the period pics it's really going to look the goods Techno. I'd say it has the potential of being one of those first ones you grab when you head out the front door ;)

Tim, does your jacket have the inside pocket?

Most of the AAF AN-J-3 versions (exterior wind flap) won't have factory installed inside pockets due to the lack of facings, like the A-2. This Aero has none as well. Whenever I have the knits replaced, since there will be access into the lining, I will more than likely go for some sort of 'rigger-pocket' for convenience, although I've been wearing jackets without any on-and-off for years, and get along pretty well... :)
