I was told by Andy of BK this was made with a hide they sourced from Japan. It is veg tanned Horsehide with a pigmented finish. You can still see the pores of the skin though and some areas are wearing in, like corners which reveal the underneath of the pigment. Apparently they did not finish the leather according to BK’s satisfaction and so only around 10 jackets were made from this hide which predates victory and liberty HH. This jacket was made around 2016 or so. It’s a nice jacket though and is tough as nails so I don’t need to worry about scratching it or catching it on something.

I don’t know if it’s shinki or not, but the wrinkles are from the hide.

Its a Dubow 27798
nickel Talon zip and United Carr ball studs
olive drab zipper liner(is this what you call it?), and mid brown stitching. Cotton mustard/tan jacket liner.

I have already this jacket from Goodwear, so I can compare the quality of make...
